AGIP and TAG-Legal Participate in INTA 131st Annual Meeting

WASHINGTON – A 12-member delegation representing Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Legal (TAG-Legal) headed by AGIP vice-chair and managing partner Mr. Luay Abu-Ghazaleh, participated in the International Trademark Association (INTA) 131st Annual Meeting held in Seattle, Washington, May 16 – 20.
“This global business meeting is the largest gathering of trademark owners and professionals in the world and it is a valuable chance to enrich our knowledge with the latest updates in the field of trademarks,” Mr. Charles Shaban, AGIP executive director, said.
The three-day meeting witnessed educational programs, strategies and analytical sessions including skill-building workshops, industry breakouts and trademark law studies.
AGIP was rewarded, along with other three members, for their contribution to INTA website.
“AGIP’s Trademarks Laws Amended in Jordan article was awarded the most visited article on INTA website during the year 2008 ,” Shaban added.
In addition, Mr. Shaban moderated one of the roundtables under the theme “Trademarks Filing Strategies in the Middle East” which was attended by participants from all over the world.
During the meeting, AGIP and TAG-Legal delegation conducted a total number of 260 meetings with clients.
“INTA meeting has been a great opportunity for AGIP and TAG-Legal to meet with their colleagues from the same field and enhance relation with our clients,” Mr. Shaban added.
The INTA 2009 meeting brought together 5000 delegates and participants from more than 130 countries.
