CAIRO – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) participated in the annual meeting of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) held January 9-10, 2009 with the participation and attendance of executive and regional managers from the Organization’s 71 offices.

In addition, Abu-Ghazaleh announced the launch of the first Intellectual Property (IP) satellite television station, TAG-IPR TV, which will open a new window for serving members of the media society interested in IP.
“The decision to launch this station arose from the need to promote much-needed awareness on Intellectual Property Rights issues and information about IP in the Arab world,” stated Abu-Ghazaleh.
The new satellite channel, reporting in both Arabic and English, will be a credible source of information that satisfies the growing interest in issues related to Intellectual Property.
“The TV station will serve as a new means for acquiring information, along with our popular online news agency, Ag-IP-News, which provides comprehensive updates and articles on IP-related issues around the world,” he continued.
TAG-IPR TV, a pioneering world satellite channel, will run specialized programs to raise awareness on the importance of protecting IP in the Arab region and the world at large.
