Kuwait Accepts National Phase PCT Applications

Kuwait – The Patent Office of Kuwait announced that it started accepting Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications designating Kuwait and entering into the national phase, as from March 27, 2018.
The PCT came into force in Kuwait on September 9, 2016 after three months of depositing its instrument of accession with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
According to Kuwait Patent Office, the time limit to file a PCT application in Kuwait is 30 months from the priority date, or 18 months from the international PCT application's filing date.
