Regional IP Conference Held in Amman

The Arab Regional Intellectual Property Conference entitled “Intellectual Property as a Power Tool for Economic Growth” was held under the Royal Patronage of King Abdullah II at Grand Hyatt Amman Hotel June 1, 2004.

The three-day Conference was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), King Abdullah II Center for Intellectual Property, Ministry of Industry and Trade in addition to the National Library Department.

Experts in economics, intellectual property and other related fields tackled several topics related to the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) specifically the relationship between IP and economic, social and cultural development. Experts also discussed how to exploit IP as an economic asset in order to achieve prosperity in today’s world.
