European Patent Validation in Tunisia

TUNIS - The European Patent Office (EPO) and the Tunisian National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property (INNORPI) announced that the validation of European patents will be possible in Tunisia, as from December 1, 2017; and thus considered as national Tunisian patents.
The EPO will sign an extensive technical co-operation program with the Tunisian IP Office, enabling it to focus on the development of innovation in the country.
The Tunisian IP Office stated that official fees for validation and annuities will be paid through agents as other local patents.
