AGIP Selected to Join INTA Brand Value Project Team

NEW YORK – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) Regional Office Executive Director, Mr. Charles Shaban, has recently been selected a member of the special project team to focus on the business value of brands including Brand Valuation, as directed by the INTA 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.
The strategic plan focuses on key areas of importance to INTA, namely: promotion of the value of trademarks and brands, reinforcement of consumer trust and embracement of innovation and change.
The project team is to develop a working plan for a potential future Presidential Taskforce that would be in charge of helping INTA identify ways to pursue the new Strategic Directions focused on the Business Value of Brands, including brand valuation and brand equity.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Shaban has served on INTA Board of Directors and many committees such as the Board Planning Committee, Internet Committee/Registration Practice & Domain Name System (DNS) Administration Subcommittee, INTA Law & Practice for the Middle East and Africa and co-chairing the INTA Middle East Global Advisory Council.
Commenting on his selection, Mr. Shaban said: “I am honored of the trust INTA bestows upon us. Selecting AGIP within this team ensures our constant success in the business field besides the trademarks field, and the confidence of the global stakeholders of our expertise.”
Shaban will be participating at INTA Leadership Meeting, to be held in Washington, USA, November 7-10, 2017.
