AARU and TAGorg to Launch TAGPEDIA

TAGorg will dedicate all its potentials and expertise to successfully launch the TAGPEDIA – Abu-Ghazaleh


AMMAN - The Association of Arab Universities (AARU) and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) signed on April 7, 2008 an agreement to launch the electronic Talal Abu Ghazaleh Encyclopedia (TAGPEDIA).

The aim of establishing TAGPEDIA is to become the essence of a comprehensive database which provides its users with free access to accurate information in all fields of knowledge. It is a general/global encyclopedia to a quality knowledge data that covers all the community fields and areas.

AARU General Secretary Dr. Saleh Hashem and TAGorg Chairman and CEO Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh signed the agreement, in the presence of HE Kamal Nasser, Jordan’s Minister of Political Development and Minister of State for Legal Affairs, deputizing for HE The Prime Minister Eng. Nader Dahabi, during the Advisory Board meeting held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business/German Jordanian University.

The agreement entails that both parties shall provide the TAGPEDIA with the required information in various specializations and fields. In addition they will sign agreements with educational institutions, universities, and research centers to update the encyclopedia with the latest data.

Dr. Hashem noted that this project aims at offering accurate information in different fields since knowledge is a legitimate right for everyone and it is the only means for the development of the upcoming generations.

Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure to cooperate with the Association of Arab Universities in spreading knowledge, culture and science especially in an era of Information Technology revolution where the world has become a small electronic village.

“TAGorg will dedicate all its potentials and expertise to successfully launch the TAGPEDIA out of its belief in the importance of enhancing human resources,” he added.
