MOSCOW - The Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks (Rospatent) has published the statistics information concerning Russian Patent/Trademark Attorneys as of December 31, 2007.
According to the official web site of the Russian Patent & Trademark Office (RuPTO), 1191 Patent/Trademark Attorneys were registered in the State Register. In 2007, only 70 persons (44.6%) out of 157 admitted to exams were certified, while 87 persons (44.6%) have not passed examinations.
Rospatent statistics show that the vast majority of Patent/Trademark Attorneys work in Russia's capital Moscow – 717 and in its "Northern Capital" Saint Petersburg – 168; all the rest regions have 306 Attorneys in total.
