UAE and France Sign MoU on Intellectual Property

ABU DHABI - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of Intellectual Property (IP), according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
UAE Minister of Economy H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi and French Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment Christine Lagarde signed the MoU.
Commenting on the signing, Al Qasimi said, “The MoU is in line with the existing cooperation between the UAE and France in different fields, particularly the Intellectual Property field.”
“The MoU includes exchange of information related to the development of regulations, experts and technicians' swap between the two countries, joint studies and projects, holding of lectures and symposiums and training,” she added.
Al Qasimi also pointed out that the MoU would contribute to the development of the IP sector through exchange of expertise between the two countries.
