The Directorate of Industrial Property at the Ministry of Commerce in Bahrain advised all IP registration agents that filing of patent applications ceased as of May 12, 2004. The reason provided for not accepting patent applications is due to the non-issuance of the Implementing Regulations for Patent Law No. (1) for 2004.
The above cessation will apply until the Implementing Regulations are issued and the required fees are fixed.
