Angola Accedes to PCT and Paris Convention

GENEVA - The Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property entered into force, with respect to the Republic of Angola, on December 27, 2007.
As per PCT Notification No. 186 and Paris Notification No. 216 published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Angola deposited its instrument of accession to the PCT and to the Paris Convention on September 27, 2007.
Effective December 27, 2007, Angola has become a member of the International Union for the Protection of Industrial Property (Paris Union), founded by the Paris Convention.
