Anti-counterfeiting Experts to Gather in China

PARIS - Business experts and government officials from around the world will meet at the Global Innovation and IP Forum in Beijing March 27-28 to build strategies to fight the increasing problem of counterfeit goods and piracy of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), a press release by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) stated.

Hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce, together with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Forum will bring together senior business experts and high-level government officials from China, the United States, the European Union, Japan, Korea, Brazil, India and a number of other countries, to discuss current trends regarding the relationship between innovation and IP, exchange best practices in the area of corporate IP management and develop solutions to persistent global IP protection and enforcement challenges.

ICC’s Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy (BASCAP) is one of the Forum’s global partners, along with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE), the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), the International Intellectual Property Protection Forum (IIPPF) of Japan, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Quality Brands Protection Committee (QBPC) and the US Information Technology Office.
