Entitled “Lawyers for the New Millennium”, an international conference and training program for Arab lawyers was held May 8 - 12, 2004 at Jordan Intercontinental Hotel in Amman.
This venue was co-organized by Jordan Bar Association (JBA), Arab Bar Association (ABA) along with Palestine Bar Association (PBA) and the Law Society of England and Wales.
The five-day event tackled issues such as e-commerce, access to EU market, and globalization in addition to intellectual property protection issues.
The participants also discussed other topics mainly: The International Commercial Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Introduction to the World Trade Organization: Dispute Settlement in the WTO and Changes to the Legal Framework which would encourage International Trade.
