MANAMA - The Kingdom of Bahrain is set to join the Trademark Law Treaty (TLT) enacted in Geneva, Switzerland in 1994, reported the Gulf Daily News.
Approved by the Shura Council and Parliament last month, the treaty will now be ratified by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The aim of the TLT is to make national and regional trademark registration systems more user-friendly through the simplification and harmonization of procedures and removing pitfalls, thus making the procedure safe for the owners of marks and their representatives.
