AGIP Welcomes UAE Patent Office Leaders for Constructive Dialogue on Innovation and IP Services
DUBAI - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) announced a productive face-to-face meeting with key leaders from the UAE Patent Office. Ms. Athari Fahad Ali Mohammad Alhammadi, the newly appointed Innovation Development and Industrial Property Director, and Ms. Afrah Sultan Al Yaarbi, the acting Head of Innovation Development Attraction Section, visited AGIP’s office in the United Arab Emirates. The discussions focused on strengthening ties between the public sector and the private community to boost the efficiency and quality of intellectual property services.
In a lead-to-action exchange, AGIP representatives, Mr. Amjad Al-Husseini, Mr. Mohannad Barbarawi and Mr. Ahmad Al-Jaser shared feedback, practical experiences, and targeted suggestions aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing the user experience for patent and industrial design applicants. The visit underscored a shared commitment to continuous improvement and an agile approach to IP service delivery, with a focus on speeding approvals, improving accuracy, and expanding access to information and resources for innovators.
During the meeting, participants explored the current priorities of the Patent Department and identified concrete avenues for ongoing collaboration. Both sides emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue to align government priorities with the needs of inventors, designers, and businesses operating in the UAE and beyond.
