Increase in Official IP Fees in Uzbekistan from September 1, 2026
30-Jul-2026
TASHKENT – According to Presidential Decree No. PF-115, Uzbekistan will raise its Base Calculation Rate (BCR) from 412,000 UZS (34.1923 USD) to 440,000 UZS (36.516 USD) effective September 1, 2026.
The higher BCR will trigger automatic adjustments to official state fees for IP registration and maintenance, resulting in a nationwide increase of 6.8 percent across IP services. This includes fees for:
-Trademark applications.
-Patent, utility model, and industrial design applications.
-Substantive examination of patent applications.
-Registration and maintenance of IP rights.
-Other administrative procedures related to the protection of intellectual property.
The fee increases are tied to the updated BCR and will apply automatically to official IP costs. Businesses, rights holders, and foreign applicants planning to file or renew IP rights in Uzbekistan should be aware of the revised fee schedule.
