UAE Trademark Office Allows Extension for Submission of Legalized POAs
11-Mar-2026 DUBAI - The UAE Trademark Office has announced an important update regarding the submission of legalized Powers of Attorney (POA) for trademark applications that include an undertaking.
Normally, the POA must be submitted within 90 days from the filing date and this deadline is usually non-extendable. However, due to the current regional situation and challenges with courier services, the Trademark Office will now allow an additional 30-day extension, if needed, for submitting the POA. This extension can be requested by the local agent through an official request without any additional official fees.
