AGIP Contributes Expertise to UAE National IP Strategy Roundtables
20-Nov-2025 DUBAI - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) – UAE office participated in a series of roundtable discussions organized by the UAE Ministry of Economy to contribute to the development of the country's upcoming national intellectual property (IP) strategy. AGIP joined government, industry, and academic stakeholders to provide practical recommendations for strengthening IP creation, protection, and commercialization in the UAE.
The three-day sessions covered three main pillars: IP creation, IP registration and protection, and IP utilization and commercialization. AGIP experts shared international best practices, presented case studies from regional markets, and outlined actionable steps to streamline registration processes, strengthen enforcement measures, and establish an environment that supports innovators and rights holders.
The Ministry of Economy's initiative aims to create a comprehensive national IP strategy that aligns with the UAE's long-term economic diversification goals and vision objectives. AGIP will continue to collaborate with public and private stakeholders as the strategy moves from consultation to implementation, providing advisory support to ensure the new framework is practical, enforceable, and conducive to innovation-driven growth.
