20-Nov-2025 MANAMA - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) – Bahrain, in cooperation with the Bahrain Intellectual Property Association (BIPA), organized an awareness lecture for students of the College of Engineering – Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bahrain, focusing on Intellectual Property (IP) and Patents.
The lecture highlighted the importance of transforming students’ innovations and creative ideas into legally protected intellectual assets, enabling them to enjoy exclusive rights of use and commercial benefit, while fostering an innovation-driven academic environment.
Furthermore, the lecture emphasized that patent registration plays a vital role in strengthening the University’s standing within the “Innovation” indicator, thereby enhancing its ranking in national performance reports and supporting Bahrain’s broader vision towards a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.
At AGIP, we strongly believe in the value of education and continuous learning. By organizing this lecture, Bahrain University students have gained knowledge about patents and had the opportunity to ask questions and interact. The lecture was successful in enabling students to better understand how patents can be utilized to protect their ideas and inventions, ultimately benefiting their future careers.
