Egypt: Increase in Official Patent Fees

CAIRO - The Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA) has issued Decree No. 138 of 2025, supplementing Decision No. 26 of 2025, and implementing significant increases to official patent fees. The new fee structure, published this month, affects a wide range of patent services and applies to both domestic applicants and foreign entities that use Egypt’s patent system.

EGIPA’s adjustment is intended to align administrative costs with current operational needs and to support the modernization of Egypt’s intellectual property infrastructure.
