Egypt Increases Official Fees for Patent Examination

CAIRO – The Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued a decision regulating the fees payable for patent examination in Egypt.
The decision stipulates that the official fees for carrying out the patent examination have increased from EGP 17,000 to EGP 25,000. Yet, school and university students are exempted from paying such fees.
This decision was published in the official gazette, and entered into force on February 22, 2023.
