Oman Launches Online Platform for Trademark Services
25-Feb-2021 MUSCAT – The Intellectual Property Department, affiliate of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Oman announced that an electronic platform for the filing of trademark applications will be introduced starting from March 7, 2021.
All new trademark registrations will gradually be handled online allowing Omani citizens, companies and local agents to file new trademarks applications online. Afterwards, the online system will gradually cover all other IP services in Oman.
According to this update, applicants intending to use the online platform will be asked to pay a 20 percent fee on the paid official fees as of March 7, 2021.
