Filing Requirements 
Trademark/Service Mark/Collective Mark Applications 

1. A Power of Attorney in the Applicant’s name and address legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate (Please find enclosed a suitable form).
2. A copy of the priority document, which should be certified by an official governmental authority, in case it is claimed.
3. An Articles of Incorporation/ Commercial Register, which should include the legal entity of the applicant company i.e.(limited, joint stock, …) and the state which the company is organized under its laws, it should be legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate.
4. A print of the trademark for each class.
5. A list of the goods and services to be covered by the application. Class heading could be claimed for all classes except classes 35, 37 & 39 it should be specified.
Note: According to the regulations, documents mentioned in items 1, 2 and 3 must be available within 6 months from the filing date. Please be advised that if the documents were not available by the due date, the above-captioned trademark application will lapse. 
You are kindly requested to provide us with the above documents at least one-month ahead of time, in order to enable us to prepare the necessary translations prior to filing them at the Egyptian Trademark Office. 

Assignment Applications 
1. A Power of Attorney signed by the assignee and legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate. (To be submitted at the time of filing the application). 
2. An extract of the entry of the assignee company in the Commercial Register, or a certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate. 
3. A legalized Deed of Assignment duly singed by both parties and legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate. 

General notes for Assignment recordals:
1. The assignor's details shall be unified with the Egyptian Trademark Office.
2. The assignee's details shall be unified in all documents.
3. The Deed of Assignment, must reflect a 'Monetary Consideration' which is an amount of money (one dollar is sufficient) for the acceptability of the document.
4. Certificate of Incorporation must indicate the address of the assignee.

License Applications 
1. A legalized license agreement by the Egyptian Consulate. 
2. A Power of Attorney by the licensee legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate. (To be submitted at the time of filing the application). 
3. An extract of the entry of the licensee company in the Commercial Register, or a certified copy of the Certificate of Incorporation legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate.
 
Change of Name/Address Applications 
1. A Power of Attorney legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate. 
2. A certified certificate of the change of name or address which should be legalized up to the Egyptian Consulate.
