Filing Requirements

1. Original or Certified valid Home or any other Foreign Registration Certificate for each mark (English translation duly signed and stamped by the translator)

*The Commercial Register or Trade License is an option provided by the EIPO when the owner cannot produce a home or any other foreign country registration certificate for his trademark or A notarized Certificate of Incorporation of the Applicant Company. (English translation duly signed and stamped by the translator)

If your client has a valid registration certificate of his trademark, then he does not need a Commercial Register.

2. A Power of Attorney legalized up to the Ethiopian Consul;

And, if necessary, the original English translation duly stamped and signed on every page by the translator or certified.
