Requirements

Trademark/Service Mark Applications


1.Power of attorney, legalised up to an Angolan Consul. A suitable specimen is available on request.
2.A certificate of incorporation/extract from the Commercial Register with verified Portuguese translation, notarized. If the proprietor is unable to provide us with a certificate of incorporation, we will require a legalized copy of their passport with a verified Portuguese translation.
3.Portuguese translation of the specification of goods/services in Word format.  As this text is for use in Angola, please ensure it does not contain Brazilian Portuguese.  If you wish us to obtain the translation on your behalf, please let us know.
4.Certified copy of the priority document with a verified Portuguese translation (if applicable).

Please note that any notarial certificates on the power of attorney or certificate of incorporation will also need to be translated into Portuguese. 

*Please ensure that any Portuguese translations you provide adhere to the orthography of the Portuguese language prior to the 1990 Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement and do not contain Brazilian Portuguese. This agreement is not followed in Angola and Brazilian Portuguese is not accepted.
