Renewal Industrial designs are valid for 10 years. This term can be extended for not more than 5 years. Grace period for paying annuity is 6 months. Official fees plus an additional fee of 50% of the official fees are paid in case of not renewing the design before the expiry date. If the owner fails to pay the annuity in due time, the patent can be reinstated during 3 years after the expiry of the term under the condition of paying an appropriate fee.
