Required filing documents
- Name and address of the applicant;
- Prints of the trademark;
- List of goods and/or services in accordance with the international classification;
- Certified copy of priority document if priority is claimed (may be filed within three months from the filing date);
- Signed and stamped Power of Attorney (legalization and notarization is not required) (may be filed within one month from the filing date).
Registration procedure
After completion of filing procedure the Official notification of the receipt of the Application is issued within 3-4 months. Then the trademark undergoes substantive examination for about 8–10 months. On condition that the Trademark meets the requirements of protectability the grant decision is issued and the trademark is published. The decision of the trademark registration can be opposed by the third parties within 3 months from the date of publication. After the three months term in absence of opposition the notification to pay the registration fee is issued. Then after payment of the prescribed registration fee the certificate of registration is issued within 2-4 months. The procedure of the trademark registration takes from 16 to 24 months.
