Qatar: TM Office Launches Trial Phase for Electronic Publication and Digital Certificates

DOHA – Qatar Trademark Office has announced the launch of a trial phase for the electronic publication of the Trademarks Official Gazette alongside the issuance of electronic Certificates of Registration. This significant step marks a move towards modernizing trademark services in Qatar by embracing digital solutions.

During this transitional period, the Qatar Trademark Office will adopt a hybrid approach. Selected trademark certificates will now be issued exclusively in digital format, with no physical copies provided for those cases. Meanwhile, some certificates will continue to be issued in the traditional physical form until the electronic system is fully implemented. This mixed method ensures a smooth transition for trademark holders as the office tests and refines its new digital processes.

In this regards, Qatar Trademark Office encourages all trademark applicants and owners to familiarize themselves with the new electronic system and stay informed about further updates as the trial phase progresses. This initiative aligns with Qatar’s broader vision of digital transformation across government services.
