Libya Temporarily Suspends Receiving Trademark Applications
10-Mar-2025 TRIPOLI – Libya’s trademark office has announced a temporary suspension of new trademark applications from March 5, 2025, to April 10, 2025. This decision is part of an effort to manage the backlog of applications and streamline the registration process.
During this period, the trademark office will focus solely on finalizing the accumulated applications already submitted. The office will continue to handle trademark renewals, oppositions, and appeals during this time.
In this regard, we advise our clients to keep sending their instructions ahead in the suspension period. This proactive approach aims to ensure a smooth registration process once the office resumes accepting new applications after April 10, 2025.
