Egypt Patent Office Sets Transitional Period to Move from Paper-Based to Electronic System

CAIRO – The Egyptian Patent Office launched its electronic patent services and began receiving and processing patent applications in electronic form as of January 1, 2022.

The Office announced that the period from 1/1/2022 to 28/02/2022 will be considered as a transitional period to move from the paper system to the electronic system. 

This decision will apply to all procedures contained in the applications already submitted to the Egyptian Patent Office, including the procedures with legal deadlines.
