The Palestinian National Authority has decided to allocate one administrative unit for the various types of IP registrations. As of January 2, 2003, the General Administration of Companies and Industrial Property at the Ministry Economy, Industry and Trade has become the registration department authorized to receive all kinds of IP registration applications.
However, since the IP Laws of Gaza Strip (Palestinian laws) are different from those implemeted in the West Bank (Jordanian laws), two separate applications have to be filed for registration in both areas.
