INTA and AGIP to Organize Regional Roundtable on Brand Valuation in Jordan

AMMAN - The International Trademark Association (INTA) in cooperation with Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) is organizing a Regional Roundtable on Brand Valuation and Its Methods, on March 11, 2008, at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCB), Amman, Jordan.
 
The Roundtable, which is the first-of-its-kind for INTA in the region, will bring together representatives of regional law firms, top Arab brand owners and Intellectual Property (IP) experts, to tackle the importance of brand valuation and its methods.

Moderating the Roundtable, AGIP Regional Office Executive Director Charles Sha’ban, said, “Over recent years, businesses have become more dependent on their Intellectual Property, as it has being recognized as a valuable business asset.”

“This joint INTA-AGIP Roundtable will explore the best opportunities to come up with credible ways to value such intangible assets, especially brands,” he added.

The speaker line-up includes such international and regional renowned leaders on the topic of valuation notably, Dr. Danny Huntington, president of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), Dr. Ulrich Moser, a certified German public auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater), Dr. Heinz Goddar, past president of Licensing Executives Society (LES) International and of LES Germany, as well as Ibtisam K. Al Rai, Liaison Officer/ Business and Planning Department, Nuqul Group.
