A number of faculty and administrative staff at the university, including Dr. Breita Keller, Eng. Ali Al-Ghussain, Eng. Jamil Al Khatib, and a group of students participated in the workshop.

Dr. Shubailat extended his gratitude to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, and Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) for organizing the event which provided accurate information about the services provided in the field of intellectual property protection.

During the workshop, AGIP’s representatives, Mr. Barhoum Yaqub and Ms. Yasmin Shaabani, presented a complete definition of intellectual property, its sections and types, including trademarks, patents, industrial models, geographical indications and copyright.

The participants also reviewed some of the information about AGIP, which was established in 1972 at a time when intellectual property protection was still in its early stages of development in the Arab region.
