New Requirement for Trademark Renewal in Algeria

ALGIERS - The Algerian Trademark Office issued new regulations related to trademarks renewal in Algeria.
The new regulations stipulate that renewal applications should be accompanied by the proof of local use of the mark in the year preceding the renewal deadline.
In accordance with the new regulations, the requirements for renewal of trademark/service mark registrations are as follows:
1. A simply signed Power of Attorney
2. The number and date of the registered trademark/service mark.
3. The name, address and nationality of the applicant.
4. Proof of use.
