Qatari Patent Office Announces Patent Official Fees

DOHA – The Qatari Patent Office announced the patent official fees and allows applicants who have filed patents during the period from 2012 till now to start the settlement of the filing, substantive examination and annuity fees of patent starting from the patents filed in 2012.
The Minister of Economy and Trade has issued official fees for copyright and patent in Qatar. No further information made, as they are still specifying their regulations and the law statement has not yet been issued.
Moreover, The Patent Office will start requesting the settlement of the official filing fees, substantive examination fees and annuity fees for some patents filed in 2012, and according to chronological order they will request the settlement of these fees without specifying deadline. However, in order to further proceed with the filed patent applications.
As for all new applications, the applicants must pay the official filing fees and annuities fees at the time of filing, as late payment of these fees is not acceptable anymore.
