Iraq Requires Legalized POA

BAGHDAD – The Iraqi Trademark Office has announced on April 10, 2014 that it now only accepts new trademark filings of all kinds with a complete legalized Power of Attorney (PoA) including the local legalization. Priority claim applications are excluded.
Therefore, we request our valued clients to accept our apology in case of the delay in filing the applications due to the said regulations which necessitate the completion of the local legalization of the Power of Attorney up to the Iraqi Tax Office, Central Bank , and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs before submitting them at the Trademark Office.
