The International Trademark Association (INTA) has recently selected Mr. CharlesShaban, Executive Director of the Regional Office at Abu-Ghazaleh IntellectualProperty (AGIP), to its Registration Practice & DNS Administration Subcommitteefor 2004-2005.The Subcommittee falls under the umbrella of INTA's Internet Committee, whichis dedicated to evaluating treaties, laws, regulations and procedures relating todomain name assignment, use of trademarks on the Internet, and unfaircompetition on the Internet. Furthermore, the committee develops andadvocates policies to advance the protection of trademarks on the Internet.Mr. Shaban was one of the selected amongst 2,300 volunteers who applied toserve on INTA committees, and his appointment represents yet anothertestimony to the caliber of AGIP's executives and the recognition they enjoyinternationally.
