Mr. Charles Shaban, AGIP Executive Director, and Ms. Georgina Busku, from AGIP Hungary liaison office, represented AGIP in the forum, where they met leading experts from the profession, IP offices, government and the judiciary and discussed with them some important developments in the field of IP and their impact on day-to-day practice.
The event shed light on different issues related to IP such as increased competition, harmonization and centralization, the fourth Industrial Revolution, and recent court decisions affecting IP licensing, among others.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Charles Shaban held a meeting with the Secretary General of FICPI and other FICPI bureau members and discussed the next steps related to the seminar that FICPI will be holding in Jordan, on November 5th. They agreed on the agenda that will contain information about FICPI from the Secretary General and treasurer followed by two sessions, one about software patenting and the other about non-traditional trademarks.
