AGIP Participates in IP Awareness Session in Egypt

CAIRO – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) office in Egypt participated in an IP awareness session entitled “Unlocking Trade Opportunities with the U.S.A”, organized by Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
The session gathered participants from IP firms, USA Embassy in Egypt, USPTO and the Customs Authority in Egypt, where the USPTO officials gave an in-depth overview about Intellectual Property Rights in general with emphasis on trademarks.
Representing AGIP, Dr. Ahmed Donia talked about other areas of IPRs including patents and copyrights. He also tackled key enforcement issues in Egypt, while Mr. Tarek Al-Khatib gave a brief about AGIP services in Egypt and its significant role in raising awareness about intellectual property basics and methods of protection in Egypt.
