UAE Waives Official Fees of Patents, Utility Models and Industrial Designs Services

ABU DHABI – The Ministry of Economy in the United Arab Emirates issued the Ministerial Decision No. 51 of 2019 stipulating that the official fees for some services related to Patents, Utility Models and Industrial Designs will be waived in the United Arab Emirates, namely:
1- Annuity/renewal
2- Publication
3- Recordals
4- Amendment
5- Restoration
6- Status Report
The decision has been published in the Official Gazette on July 7, 2019; however, the implementation of the same took place on September 2019 as it took time to adjust and update the online platform.
Accordingly, our invoices related to the above-mentioned services will only cover the professional fees.
