Oman Expected to Increase Official Fees January 2010

MUSCAT - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) would like to inform its clients that the official fees for all trademark and patent services in Oman will substantially increase effective January 2010, according to well-informed sources. Therefore, AGIP urges its clients to attend to the renewal of their trademark registrations, which are falling due for renewal in 2010 with our competitive renewal professional charges of US$ 50.00 for each trademark registration. In addition, an official notification has been received from the Patent Office to pay all the accumulated annuities for the patents filed prior to August 15, 2008. Our clients are advised to pay for these annuities at the current official fees prior to the date of the release and implementation of the new official fees next January.
