Russia Introduces Service of Accelerated Prosecution of Trademark Applications

MOSCOW - The Russian Patent and Trademark Office (RPTO) announced the launch of new service of accelerated prosecution of trademark applications.
This new service will reduce the time frame of trademark registration from 12-14 months to 2-3 months.
The accelerated prosecution of trademark applications will be conducted following these procedures:
1. Filing an application
2. Advanced trademark search
3. Formal examination and acceptance of application
4. Substantive examination
5. Registration in normal case or provisional refusal
In this regard, AGIP is pleased to inform its clients that it will provide the service of accelerated trademark prosecution to its clients in Russia.
