Abu-Ghazaleh Addresses Students at Shenyang Normal University Graduation Ceremony

SHANGHAI - Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) and chairman of the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID), delivered the commencement statement at the graduation ceremony of the Shenyang Normal University in China.

More than 7000 students listened to Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh speech on education, economy and innovation highlighting the new Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) and the Chinese visa applications center which were opened recently in Amman.

Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh revealed plans set to open several TAG-Confucius Institutes in the Arab world which will offer Chinese language courses for non-native speakers, while hosting researchers and language instructors from China for this purpose, in addition to offering lectures and workshops for businesspeople and governmental sector representatives, aiming to enhance cultural knowledge and exchange.

Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh focused on numerous issues including the risks to peace and security, working on a new world order, oil crash, the economic crisis and innovation. In addition, he called upon China to play a leading role in the Afro-Asian Knowledge-based Society Initiative, establish a SINO-ARAB trade in services board, and urging China at the same time to join him in the leadership of the UN GAID.

During his June 21-23 historic trip, Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh also visited AGIP Shanghai Office which was established to provide its services to Arab and Chinese enterprises.
