Syria Increases Trademarks and Designs Official Fees

DAMASCUS – Pursuant to the Ministerial Decision No. 2133, issued by the Syrian Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection on September 28, 2017, an increase in the official fees of trademarks and designs will be applied in Syria, as from October 15, 2017.
According to this decision, the fees increase will be applied to search, publication and administrative fees of the application forms including all the recordal steps (such as assignment, changes…etc.). The increase will cover new applications as well as retroactively those applications, which relevant publication fees have not been paid yet.
In light of this increase, AGIP will amend its schedule of charges related to trademarks and designs services offered in Syria.
