AGIP Participates in INTA's 2006 Leadership Meeting in Arizona

AMMAN - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) participated in the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Leadership Meeting which was held in Phoenix, Arizona, US, November 8-11, 2006, under the theme "Meeting the Needs of Trademark Owners."

AGIP's Executive Director, Charles Sha'ban, said that the meeting brought together INTA's board of directors, committee chairs, vice chairs and members.

"Subcommittee chairs and past presidents were also present to exchange ideas, conduct important business and network with colleagues from around the world," he added.

According to the INTA, Intellectual Property experts presented advanced-level educational sessions which provided attendees with valuable information on the latest developments in trademark laws.

"Committee members focused on developing best practices to be implemented in the field of trademarks worldwide," Sha'ban stated.
 
A member of the INTA Internet Committee/Registration Practice and Domain Name System (DNS) Administration Subcommittee, Sha'ban pointed out that the meeting also explored a myriad of issues and challenges including trademarks' enforcement, dilution and disputes. 

The next INTA's Leadership Meeting will be held in Orlando, Florida, November 7-10, 2007.
