AGIP India Defeats Patent Pre-grant Opposition for Anti-cancer Compound

NEW DELHI - While defending its client Seattle Genetics, Inc., our patent team in India office has succeeded in defeating a patent pre-grant opposition, which was filed by an Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance for anti-cancer compound.

In India, an opposition can be filed before or after the grant of a patent. Any person can file a pre-grant opposition, however, only a person involved in similar business as that of the applicant can file a post-grant opposition.
