A subdomain name is an extension of the domain name added to the beginning of a website’s domain name. It allows websites to separate and organize content for a specific function or purpose. 


Domain names cannot begin or end with a hyphen “-“, no space allowed. Valid characters are the alphabet “a-z”, digits “0-9”, and symbol “-“.
